The Town of Rouleau is located southeast of Moose Jaw and Drinkwater in the Rural Municipality (RM) of Redburn, off Highway #39. It also lies on the CPR-Soo Line, connecting to Minneapolis and Chicago.

The Town of Rouleau depends primarily on the agricultural industry. Flax growers and wool growers are a few examples of the agricultural output of the area. Businesses in the Town include, Westrum Lumber, Spalding Orthopedic Design, and the Rouleau Hotel.
Attractions
One of the Town's attractions includes the Rouleau and District Museum, which displays pioneer artifacts and antiques. The museum sponsors the annual threshing bee during the second weekend in August. The Town also has a curling club with two sheets of artificial ice, and the Rouleau Junior C Ramblers play in the Highway Hockey League.
