The Village of Eyebrow is located 70 kilometres (kms) northwest of Moose Jaw.
History
Eyebrow is primarily a grain growing and cattle farming area 10 miles south of the Qu'Appelle Valley.
European and Canadian settlers began pouring into this area from around 1904 to 1908 with the arrival of the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR). Before that, Eyebrow was part of a settler trail used by travelers journeying from Moose Jaw settlements to the early Saskatoon settlement farther north.
In 1908, when the Village became established it was named 'Eyebrow' after some of the unique landmarks in the area.
One of these landmarks, about 50 miles northwest of Moose Jaw, is a semi-circle of low hills. In the curve of these hills was a very important source of pure spring water that forms a tiny round lake. This source became Eye Lake and the hills, the Eyebrow hills. And so the Village became Eyebrow!
