The town of Eatonia is located 44 kilometres (kms) southwest of Kindersley at the crossroads of Highways 21 and 44.
History
Eatonia was named after Tim Eaton, a Toronto merchant and founder of the Eaton's catalogue and the former Eaton's chain of department stores. It also honors his son, Sir John Eaton, a major shareholder in the Canadian National Railway (CNR).

Eatonia today has a health centre, doctor, shopping/groceries, service stations, dumping station, liquor vendor, library, post office, credit union, courier service, swimming pool, golf, picnicking, park/play area, camping, and accommodations (motel).
Attractions
The CNR Station. Municipal Heritage Property. Eatonia Branch of the Wheatland Regional Library. It features a picnic area and railway caboose.
Memorial Cairn erected in 2000, dedicated to community pioneers.
There are also many Aboriginal sites around Cabri Lake.
