The Village of Climax is located 100 kilometres south of Gull Lake at the junction of highways 18 and 37. Climax is 23 kilometres (kms) north of the Canada/United States Customs port of entry, Climax/Turner.

The main contributors to the Climax economy are farming and ranching. Honey Bee manufacturing, a farm equipment manufacturer, and Prime Pro Seeds, a crop input provider located nearby also boost the local economy.

Climax has many social organizations and clubs. The community boasts an active seniors club, Southline Senior Citizens, which conducts weekly activities. Organizations like the Lions, Climax and Area Recreation Board, Climax Community Association and Orange Lodge Ladies all host events like New Year's party, golf tournaments, fowl suppers, July 1st festivities, various youth activities, and community projects.
The Village of Climax becomes hull to a host of activities on the annual Sports Day. Events included are: parade, beer gardens, barbeque beef supper, kids activities, and hobby-horse rodeo.
The town of Climax is also associated with CTV's hit sitcom Corner Gas, being the prize location of the shows WIN A PIECE OF SASKATCHEWAN contest. Contestants can enter their name to win a piece of property in Climax.

Climax is part of the Chinook School Division. Students from kindergarten to grade nine attend the local school. High school students are bused to Frontier High. Various intramural and extracurricular activities are conducted as part of the educational program.
Health:
Climax is home to Border Union Health Centre. It is open 9 am-5 pm, 7 days a week, with lab and x-ray available Monday to Friday. The health center provides primary care and observation. A health nurse and counseling services are available through the health centre. There is also a local doctor's clinic The community is served by Frontier's ambulance service which is located a short distance of 14 kilometres away.
Home care services are available within the community as well as a Meals on Wheels program.
